Tenoo
Our show is set primarily on the planet of Tenoo, whose giant trees are hallmarks of the natural landscape. With explorations of the buildings, I wanted to bring in a sense of unity with the environment, allowing the tree trunks to inform the architecture as well as be influenced by it. Natural materials also dominate the alien-made areas, and the forms and patterns of plants create visual motifs within.
Andraven
Andraven is a snow-laden planet whose people groups are farmers and ranchers, so the world building focus was primarily to use the natural materials-- wood, hide, and stone-- to inform the designs of the set pieces and props.
Kashyyyk
With dense forests and foliage, the Wookiee-inhabited planet of Kashyyyk necessitated plant systems that could easily be used to populate any new sets we needed. With this planet being present in many other Star Wars media, we also hearken back to established species with new, stylized designs.
Off Planet
As our cast traveled across the galaxy, there was a lot of consideration for each planet and the history and stories there that inform the resulting designs.
